David Nuffer

Dave Nuffer graduated from Reynolds High School near Portland, Oregon. He competed in hurdles, sprints, and relays and earned his varsity letter all 4 years of high school. He earned runner-up in the 300m hurdles as a junior and was the Oregon state champion in the 110m hurdles as a senior on a hall of fame boys track team that finished 2nd in the state that year. In addition to track and field, Dave competed in water polo in high school and understands the importance of multi-sport athletics.

 

After high school Dave competed for two years on the Mount Hood Community College track and field team; competing against athletes from Oregon, Stanford, Washington, BYU, Washington State and other Div.I schools including former Olympian Dan O'Brien. While at MHCC Dave finished as the NWAACC conference champion in the 400m hurdles.

 

Dave has a Bachelor degree in health, PE, and coaching from BYU; a Masters in Education from Eastern Oregon University, and a Masters in Athletic Admin from Ohio University. He has coached hurdles for 1 year at American Fork High School and 2 years at McLoughlin High School in Eastern Oregon. He has also coached basketball for 10 years, soccer for 9 years, has worked as an athletic director for 11 years, and 3 years as an Executive Director for a Charter School sports league.

 

Dave loves competing in triathlons, outdoor adventures with his fabulous wife Elizabeth and their 4 children, working as a mobile DJ, and helping young athletes reach their potential as a teacher, coach, and athletic director.
