Distance

The distance team ran really well this week. They have worked really hard for the last 8 week and it showed. There where a whole slew of PB and we are still in indoor. Most of the distance runners where required to run conservitivly and work on race tactics. The goal was to practice team synergy and negitive splitting. Even though times where good most of them had more to give.

Boys 3200 -

Duncan Forrest : was first through on the boys side splitting a 5:21 first mile and closing in a 5:12. Ducans previous PR was 11:15 which he did at the end of outdoor last year. That is a 45 second PR already.

Justin Roylance: Justin is only a sophmore but he is showing that he can run with anyone. Justin 1600 PR last year was 5:15. Justin set his new PR in the 1600 in the last mile of his 3200 running a 5:14.

Kaige Korth: Kaige in his first ever 3200 showed just how good he is finishing very close to Duncan

Lawson Lighten - For his first race ever also showed his potenial running a great time(11:35)

All around i was very proud of our teams performances. Congrats on the PR's. Great job and following the game plan and running as a team and negitive splitting.

Samantha Jacobson : Sam led the way for the girls taking 9th place overall and becoming our 3rd fastest distance runner in school history. (She is only a freshman) She ran with and placed right behind some of the states best runners.

Katie, Kayzia, Rachel - The girls did very well at grouping together and running as a team. Katie, Rachel and Kayzia represented really well and all ran a PR or right at the PR. If i had pages and time i could write a whole bunch about most of the girsl but But i dont so i just wnat to say how proud i am of the girls team for running hard and being focused to race. GREAT JOB GIRLS
