Jumps @ Davis

Another outstanding High Jump performance at the Davis Invite from fifth seated Dalton Mc Clees in the elite Invited sector, as Dalton confirmed his ability to be a real contender for the school high jump record which stands at 6’ 5” after RHS 18 years of competition. Dalton once again leaped 6’ 4“ moving him from the fifth seated position to the second in the Davis completion and claiming eight valuable team points for the Silverwolves. Jumping with knee pain after his off season surgery Dalton vowed to make a “Real run at the school record and a top four finish at the State competition setting his goal at 6’6” to strengthen his Legacy at RHS athletics. He will have three more attempts to secure that mark with qualifying efforts remaining at the BUY Invite this Friday and Saturday May 5 & 6, the Regions 4

meet at Riverton High on May 10 & 11 and close out the 2017 Track & Field 5A season at the Ultimate State final competition on May 19 & 20 in Provo, Utah.

Other Long Jump State finalist hopefuls Ethan Canfield, Hama Tuione and Kayden Triplett have two remaining attempts to qualify them in the most competitive field of sand markers in 5A Long Jump competition since 2007.

Good Luck to all the remaining elite athletes still in competition.
