Cougar Relays JUMPS TEAM

The Silverwolves Jump Team used the Cougar Relays Invitational as educational experience as most of the athletes that competed was their first time in competition. The Varsity Girls High Jump Team has first timers Audrey Johnson and Emily Belnap scoring meet points with their six and seventh place finishes respectively, both recording a height of 4’ 4” in their first ever competition.

Other highlights from the Girls Varsity competition was Shambrea Ogdens fifth place finish with a leap of 14’ 0” – following that right up were the boys Long Jump efforts with Ethan Canfields 18’ 8” distance enough for his first ever 3rd place podium finish and Hunter Gibbons 5th place finish of a recorded distance of 18’ 3” .

Look for promising performances from Halle Day in the long jump at the Davis Super Meet on Tuesday, March 21 at Davis High School were 14 teams are registered for competition where the girls compete on Tuesday and the boys on Wednesday. Watch the High Jump competition where Dalton McClees and Kaylee Mahoney are just coming off of knee surgery and Dallin Barnes vows to achieve his State target height of 6’ 1” in the first real jumps competition of the 2017 Track & Field season.
