Jump At JV Region

- Silverwolves Jump Team shines in under class men's meet this Tuesday hosted by Lone Peak High in Highland, Utah.

Riverton sophomore, Emily Belnap stole the show with a dual Personal Record performance in the girls High Jump and Long Jump events, easily clearing 4' 10" in the High Jump competition claiming 10 first place points for her efforts.

Almost as outstanding a performance as well in the Long Jump where Emily notched another PR performance with a sand mark of 14' 7.50" good enough for 8 second place points. Just as she arrived at the event Emily said she wasn't really up for jumping today, can you imagine if she ever was? Great effort Emily your coach is proud of you.

Wait, there is more over at the boys High Jump competition as Quint Sorenson backed up his last weeks 5' 8", PR performance with another crowd pleasing 5' 8" scissor jump show good enough for second place and eight points at today's meet. Quint finished his competitive jumping career on a high note and should be proud of his accomplishments in doing so.

One more for the record as Breanna Ogden placed sixth in the girls Long Jump competition closing out the year with a 12' 8.75" PR sand mark.

Congratulations to the entire Silverwolves Jump Team for a enjoyable and competitive 2017. We are looking forward to the new alignment set for the start of the 2108 season where Riverton High will be one of the new, "SIX-A" classification schools and move to Region Three for competition in 2018.
